The University Honors Program (UHP) at Plymouth State reflects PSU’s innovative approach to education. The UHP emphasizes enrichment experiences outside of the classroom, social opportunities to build community, and optional project work determined by the interests and passions of the students themselves. It’s hands-on, interactive, and further enhances the college experience in a meaningful way for our most high-achieving students.

The pillars of enrichment, community, and service to the community, aligned with the Ut Prosim(That I may serve) motto of Plymouth State University, form the foundation of this highly regarded program, whichbrings together a diverse group of high-achieving students from across our many programs to enhance their academic careers. There is no fee for membership.

• Enrichment eventsincluding faculty presentations of their latest research, alumni talking about their work experiences, and regional entrepreneurs and social change makersdiscussing their success and failures, among many other topics.
• The opportunity to pursue a "passion project," an optional personalized independent study on a topic of interest, under the guidance of a faculty or professional staff member. Earn academic credits exploring the issues you care about most!
• Leadership opportunities toplan and execute events and planUHP's future.
• Honors housing option to live with fellow honors students and receive priority housing selection.
• Access to your own lounge and residential hall space: Study and mingle in your own Honors space right in the center of campus. Optional Honors residential areas are also available.
