Need a good movie to sit down with friends and family? Then sit down with your friends and watch this eye-catching family movie Slumberland (2022). Slumberland follows a little girl, Nemo, alongside an outlaw on her adventures through the dreamworld, Slumberland, after the loss of her father in hopes to see him again.

I enjoyed how engaged I was throughout the movie. The eccentric imagery and action portions of the movie give the movie a compelling aspect. The storyline gives off a crossover feeling between Stardust (2007) and Men in Black (1997), the humorous fairytale mixed with action grabs the audience’s attention. The ending was heartwarming and I even shed a few tears of delight out of how gripping this movie is.

Slumberland’s director, Francis Lawerence, showed a more whimsical side of his filmmaking. Director of the films, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” (2013), “I Am Legend” (2007), and “Constantine” (2005), Lawerence displays a breathtaking film for all ages. What makes this movie so good as a whole is the cast. Familiar faces from Jason Mamoa, Kyle Chandler, Chris O’Dowd, and an upcoming child actress Marlow Barkley. Jason Mamoa and Marlow Barkley’s acting embody the characters and bring a harmonious feel.

This movie can be watched on Netflix and is currently number two on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies in the U.S. today.
