David Minickiello ’64 was inducted into the New Hampshire Athletic Association Hall of Fame in the coach category, “in recognition of his outstanding contributions to high school athletics in New Hampshire.”

Paul J. Federico ’71 of Bedford has been named membership marketing liaison for the Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire. He has held regional and national administrative and sales positions for three companies during his 43-year career, most recently retiring as a senior vice president of marketing and sales at MiddleOak.
Simon Paquette ’72 has been involved in social work as a private practitioner since 2004. He works with people who have cognitive loss, disability from head injury, complex chronic disease management, and mental health behavioral issues. He has been pleasantly surprised to discover how perfect this work is as a later-in-life career.
Kevin Johnson ’74, ’92G is principal of the Croydon Village School. Previously, he served as principal at Washington Elementary School in Washington, NH, and at Kearsarge Regional Elementary School in New London, and as an adjunct faculty member at PSU. He is a school board member for the Kearsarge Regional School District and Institutional Review Board member for New England College.
Lynn Miller ’74 has been coaching tennis at Wheaton College for 35 years and is getting close to retirement.
Linda Preston ’74 was recently recognized by the city of Lebanon, NH, for 40 years of service as beloved coach and educator to youth.
Paul Taylor ’76 retired from Keolis Commuter Services after 38 years in the railroad industry, 35 of them as a locomotive engineer. He also had worked in track maintenance, as a brakeman, and in safety.
Catherine Leaver ’77, ’92G retired from the Newfound Area School District after working for 35 years in a number of jobs from teaching physical education, science, and career planning to working with student support, the athletic director, and the assistant principal. She now works three days a week helping to restore classic wooden boats.

Michelle McEwen ’81,president and CEO of Speare Memorial Hospital, was inducted into the Marketing Association at Plymouth State (MAPS) Alumni Hall of Fame.
Jonathan Rand ’81 works as a master potter ceramics teacher and coach at the Tilton School, and has been doing so for over 25 years.

Dan Sylvester ’87 is the director of athletics for the Franklin, NH, school district. He is in his 14th year of education after spending the previous 14 years in the insurance industry. Dan and his wife have been married for 26 years and their oldest son Derrick just spent his first summer in professional baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Their youngest son Dillon is a freshman at Bentley University and is on the track team.

Annette Blake ’91, a school counselor at Belmont (NH) Middle School, was recently awarded the Janine Bernard Supervisor of the Year Award, presented by the North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
Jonathan Bownes ’91, ’02G is the principal at Thornton Central School, which was recognized as a 2014 Blue Ribbon School, one of only 337 schools in the US honored by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan with this designation, which recognizes great American schools.

Ron Fussell ’97 began his new role as the associate superintendent for Catholic schools for the Diocese of Manchester. He is responsible for curriculum and instruction for 23 Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the state of New Hampshire. The arts are an essential component to Catholic education, and he is looking forward to advocating for the arts in his new role.
Todd Aspinwall ’99 is an operational compliance manager, overseeing the build out of a new regulatory compliance program for Hyundai Capital in Atlanta, GA. He resides in Kennesaw, GA, with his wife, Jodi (Makuch) Aspinwall ’98. The couple is expecting their first child in January 2015.

Jack Storms ’02 is one of only a handful of fine glass artisans in the world working in the medium of cold-glass art, in which lead crystal and dichroic glass are combined using a cold-glass process. He was recently interviewed by Good Day Sacramento for his sculpture work for former pro baseball player Derek Jeter and the movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
Jeff Furlone ’03G, PSU dean of students, recently received the Beverly S. Seavey Community Service Award, which is given in recognition and gratitude of the award recipient’s generous commitment of time, support, and inspiration to Voices Against Violence, a crisis services agency, and the families they serve.
Atsushi Toriida ’03G is a conditioning coach with the 2014 Japanese World Series Champions, the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks.
Laura Brusseau ’04 was named Civic Leader of the Year by Stay, Work, Play NH, an organization that encourages more young workers to live and work in New Hampshire. Brusseau is a social studies teacher at Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith, and has a long history of volunteering for causes that support young people, including Girl Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, and New Beginnings Domestic Violence Center.

Trevor Chandler ’09 was promoted to associate regional field director at the Human Rights Campaign. Trevor’s new responsibilities include strategy and coordination for the LGBT rights movement in the Western US.
Bethany (Gordon) Gentry ’04, ’09G passed the Massachusetts bar exam in July 2014, and was admitted to practice in November 2014. She currently works as a legal intern for Kenison Law Office, PLLC, in Manchester, NH.
Jennifer (Carter) Stygles ’09 is the chief financial officer for Brown Furniture in West Lebanon, NH. She also owns a mattress store called America’s Mattress in West Lebanon that opened in April 2014, and hopes to open a second location in New Hampshire by March 2015.
Carol Phillips ’09 started her own business, Health Design, in January 2013. As a health coach, author, speaker, and consultant, she is passionate about helping individuals and companies improve health, increase productivity, and reduce costs. She is also writing her first book, 52 Simple & Easy Ways to HEALTH, which was published in October 2014.

Mari Lallier ’10, ’14G is now a masters-level clinician on the Enhanced Care Team at West Central Behavioral Health of New Hampshire.
Adrienne Pollner ’10 is a clinical addictions counselor for CRC HealthGroup. She owns a private music studio and works with Dave Phillips Music and Sound as a piano and vocal instructor.
Stephanie Demers ’11 began a new position as a preschool teacher at the child care center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Karen House ’11G became Salem State University‘s chief financial officer. Previously, she served as associate vice president for finance and planning at Keene State College.
Erin McDonough ’11 started her own professional dance company in Austin, TX. The company, Austin Allegro Dance, is a contemporary dance company that performs at various venues throughout Austin. She teaches master classes at local dance studios, and has also taught and choreographed dancers at Texas State University. More on Erin here.

Lauren Davies ’12 works at Fish & Richardson, P.C. in Boston, MA, a global law firm with over 350 lawyers in 12 offices. The firm is one of the largest firms practicing IP, litigation, and technology law.
Korey O’Brien ’12 began a career as a morning news producer for KGUN9 in Tucson, AZ, in July 2014. Korey earned a MA in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
Ryan Spencer ’12 is employed with Applied Sciences and Information Systems, Inc. as a GIS analyst at Fort Devens, MA.
Rachel Whitaker ’12 was nominated by Governor Maggie Hassan to serve as an alternate member of the NH Site Evaluation Committee. Whitaker is a White Mountains Community College assistant professor of environmental science.
Annamarie Klucevsek ’13 has relocated to Los Angeles, CA, to pursue her career as professional dancer and choreographer. She is currently working as the lead choreographer of a professional dance company called Collobor8 Dance Company, which performs in venues and events along the West Coast.
Björn Ohlsson ’13, after 1 1/2 years as a sales controller in the salt industry, felt the need to take on more responsibility and accepted a position as a financial analyst at JBT FoodTech in Sweden.
Kellie Walsh ’13 is an assistant planner for the NH Office of Energy and Planning and head coach for the girls basketball team at Londonderry (NH) Middle School. Kellie led the team to a 2013-14 league championship win.

Megan O’Gara ’14 was recently hired as a resident director at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA. She works with students, professional staff, and parents to create a welcoming and safe academic environment for students in a first-year residence hall. Many of the students she works with are first-generation college students, and Megan feels great pride in helping them succeed.
